Their processors and the integrated development environment(IDE) help embedded system designers program and automatically configure the configurable processors using standard C/C++, achieving unprecedented performance, easy and rapid development, tremendous cost savings, and the flexibility to address diverse markets and changing application needs. Their latest family of processor architecture is optimized specifically for high-performance video and wireless signal processing, which offers unmatched price/performance in these demanding applications. It also provides the ability to easily scale to multi-chip implementations for the most compute-intensive applications. This partner is also developing wide range of Embedded DSP multimedia communication and physical security IPs and devices for integration into high performance, wired and wireless multimedia communications solutions.

  MDN is looking to hire Software Engineers to work on QA activities of these innovative and state-of-the-art multimedia Physical Security Devices/Software.


Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • QA activities of Embedded APIs in physical security devices (DVR, IP camera, etc.) - which involves Test planning, test development, execution and investigation of problems found
  • Carry out manual tests on physical security devices to ensure it conforms to specifications
  • Understand the API specs and write C programs to test the APIs
  • Develop and integrate test scripts, in co-operation with the development team
  • Run automated test infrastructure and feed back test results to the test and development teams
  • Reception of bug reports from customers and Developers; reproduce bugs off site

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Experience testing application software using C/C++ or other object-oriented development experience of 4+ years on Unix/Linux platforms, ideally, embedded Linux is a must
  • Exposure to physical security devices such as DVR, IP Camera, etc.
  • Stamina to work very hard over long durations (upto 6 weeks, working 60 hours per week).
  • Detail oriented, thorough and meticulous with a talent for fault-finding.
  • Experience using automated testing tools, writing test plans, using software bug tracking tools
  • Experience performing manual functional tests including integration and regression tests on complete hardware+software systems.
  • Ability to test a complete system end-to-end without knowing what is in the box
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

Diploma/BE/MSc(Engg) in Electrical/Electronics/Computers/Software Engineering or related field
